Sherry G. Jones

Sherry G. Jones, 75, of Annawan passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at Hammond Henry Hospital in Geneseo.

A memorial visitation will be 10am-12noon Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Schroder Mortuary in Colona followed by a burial at Rock Island National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Sherry was born June 25, 1948 in Kewanee, Illinois the daughter of William “Bill” and Audrey Bunker. She married Donald E. Jones on May 2, 1992 in Maysville, Iowa. Sherry Worked at the arsenal as an HR Assistant for several years retiring in 1992. Sherry and Donald moved to Arkansas for some time and returned in 2002. Sherry went back to work for the arsenal until 2003. She enjoyed ceramics and made many unique gifts for family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, and canning. She especially loved caring for her dogs.

Survivors include her husband Donald; children Billie Jo Rhodes of East Moline, Shelly Hamm of East Moline, and Cameron Rhodes of Annawan; step children Lisa (Darin) Nordeen of Valparaiso, IN, Rick (Becky) Jones of Colona, Mike (Andrea) Jones of Colona, and Kelley (Alan) Phelps of Rock Island; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and siblings Dan (Deb) Bunker of East Moline, Frank (Lu) Bunker of Rapids City, and Dawn Stanley of East Moline.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents.
