Shirley Bentley

Shirley N. Bentley, 83, of East Moline passed away Sept. 8, 2015 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus. Graveside services will be 1pm Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements. Shirley was born Jan. 2, 1932 in Beardstown, IL the daughter of Thomas and Lena McCombs Deskin. She married Gerald W. Bentley Aug. 22, 1950 in Rock Island. Shirley worked at Bituminous Insurance Company and was an active member of First Baptist Church in Silvis. She loved decorating for Christmas. Survivors include her husband Gerald; children Lori Brock, James Bentley and Jordan Bentley; several grandchildren and one great grandson. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and siblings.
