Shirley Rae Deopere, 75, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Aspen Rehab and Health Care, Silvis.
There will be no services. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
Shirley was born Jan. 21, 1936, the daughter of Ollie and Lilly Crawford Hendrick in Mangum, Okla. She married Richard in 1953. She worked at Ruth's Beauty Salon for 20 years.
Shirley was an avid quilter, making over 100 quilts. She was a member of TOPS and Eastern Star. She also loved cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Richard, East Moline; daughter, Gail (Lee) Wilson, Paso Robles, Calif.; sister, Bonnie Colvard, Texas; grandchild, Christopher Daley, Carrollton, Va.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Homer; stepbrother, Arleigh; and stepsister, Donna.
