Shirley R. Wild, 82, of Colona, passed away Friday, May 13, 2011, at Aspen Rehab and Health, Silvis.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation is two hours prior to services. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Hope Foursquare Church or Colona Loan Closet.
Shirley was born Aug. 31, 1928, in Rock Island, the daughter of Albert and Kathryn Brandt Stafford. She married Robert Wild on Aug. 17, 1947, in Rock Island. He passed away on Sept. 15, 2004.
She was a receptionist at her husband's chiropractic office in Colona. She was a member of New Hope Foursquare Church (formerly Moline Gospel Temple). She also enjoyed reading her Bible.
Survivors include her children, Steve (Barb) Wild, Colona, and Marlo (James) Sharpe, Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Leslie Luster, East Moline, Stephane (Matt) Sutton, Belleville, Ill., Ryan (Sandy) Wild, Woodstock, Ill., Heather (Rusty) Milligan, Des Moines, Rachel (Tom) Dowhan, Clive, Iowa, Michelle Wild, Eldridge, RJ Wild and Dallas Wild; eight great-grandchildren; and her brother, Eugene (Angie) Stafford, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and son, Mark.
The family would like to thank Aspen Rehab and Beacon of Hope Hospice for the excellent care they provided Shirley.
