Stella Meyers

Stella Mae Meyers, 76, of Colona, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to the family.
Stella was born July 13, 1934, in Clairborne County, Tenn., the daughter of Jim Sr. and Dottie Robinson Catron. She married Louis Calvin Meyers on April 10, 1951, in Fork Ridge, Tenn. He passed away Dec. 29, 1984.
Stella enjoyed painting, fishing, dancing and in her younger years hunting. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Lewis Jr. (Linda) Meyers, Carbon Cliff, Judy (Jim) Catron, Tennessee, Gary Lee (Gail) Meyers, Moline, Ray Meyers, Colona, Janet (William) Fields, West Virginia, Dean Meyers, Silvis, Clarence Meyers, Colona, and Reba (Bob) Harkey, Bettendorf; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 11 brothers and sisters.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband; two infant sons, Robert and Bill; four brothers and sisters.
