Susan "Sue" Mary King lost her battle with cancer on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving husband, Bob, and family. A celebration of life will be from noon until 5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 29, at Leisure Time Billiards, East Moline. The family invites all to have a bite to eat and share your memories of Sue. Memorials may be left for CCKMA (Cancer Can Kiss My Ass) or to the family. Susan M. Huennekens was born April 22, 1957, in Moline, a daughter of Ralph and Mary Fisher Huennekens. On Feb. 28, 1976, she was united in marriage to Robert King in Hampton. She worked for Wonder Bread for 20 plus years. Sue enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandkids and riding motorcycles with Bob.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob King, East Moline; children, Cerissa (Jeremy) Chenoweth, Fenton, Illinois, and Jeremy King, Hampton; grandchildren, Emily, Kylie and Kaden; brother, Dave (Danita) Huennekens, Fenton; and sister-in-law, Cathy Huennekens, Knoxville, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dan and Don, mother-in-law, Bonnie, father-in-law: Wendell, and sister-in-law, Deb. Sue's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Garneau and staff and to Bob's two girls.
