Tamika N. Watson, 32, of Davenport, formerly of North Liberty, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at East Moline Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at The Word Church in Rock Island. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Tamika was born on May 19, 1980, in Moline, the daughter of Lee Moore and Georgette Watson Ross. She enjoyed writing poems, dancing, listening to music and reading.
Survivors include, her mother, Georgette Ross; father, Lee Moore; children, Areion Watson, Atlanta, Ga., Treontez Horton, Memphis, Tenn., and Tanaiyah Watson, Davenport; sisters, Tonisha (BJ) Ross Martin, Atlanta, Tania Rocha and Tiffany Luten, both of Davenport; brothers, Aaron (Lisa) Watson, Adrian (Kayla) Watson, Quincy Ross, Dackeren Moore, Dailan Moore and Dairramey Moore, all of Davenport, and Alton Shawn Cook, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Tamika was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Watson and Earnest Williams; paternal grandparents, Cordilia and E. Lee Moore and a stepgrandfather, Walter McKinney.
