Teddy "Ted" H. Blair, 57, of Silvis, unexpectedly passed away on July 9, 2013, at home. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Estates Gardens, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Ted was born on Feb. 2, 1956, in Moline, the son of Willard and Hallie Shepherd Blair. He married Lisa Armstrong in 2000, in Rock Island. Ted graduated from Rock Island High School in 1974, where he played baseball. He had owned a Zephyr Gas Station in Moline. He later worked at the East Moline Correctional Center as a sergeant, retiring in December 2008, after 25 years. He played semi-pro baseball with the 76ers and later coached several softball teams. Ted was a Cubs, Bears and Illini fan. He enjoyed going to his children's sporting events when they were younger. Survivors include his wife, Lisa; children, Brittani, Cambridge, Austin, at home, Cassandra, Moline, and Derek, Kansas; parents, Willard and Hallie; brothers, Larry, Owens Cross Roads, Ala., Paul and Mark, both of Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind the best friend a man could have, his dog, Max.
