Terry Bowers

Terry Bowers, 74 of Silvis passed away January 18th, 2023, at Warren Towers. 

 

Terry was the son of Olga and Art Bowers.  Terry was a graduate of UTHS.  In the 1960's Terry was a member of a popular band called The Intruders.  Terry was drafted into the Army in 1967 serving 1st Calvary from 1968-1969.  The Army awarded Terry the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and the Purple Heart.  PTSD was a lifelong struggle for Terry after returning from the war. 

 

Terry is survived by his son, Bryan, brother, Jim, cousins Don, Margie, Virginia, and Vickie.  Terry's close beer and lunch buddies Steve, Ray, Jack, Bill, Mike, Rick, Scottie, and Gale will remember him fondly. 

 

Interment will be held at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal at a date to be announced.
