Thomas McIntire

Thomas Henry McIntire, 81, of East Moline passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.

Graveside services will be 11am Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Rock Island National Cemetery. Anyone wishing to attend may meet at Schroder Mortuary by 10:30.

Thomas was born July 17, 1939 in East Moline, IL the son of Albert Allison McIntire and Violet Beatrice Gillan McIntire. He met Nancy Wells of Silvis marrying in 1960 in East Moline, they later divorced. Thomas was an avid goat farmer, hobby farmer, and animal lover, especially his beloved Toby. He loved auctions, antiques, flea markets, and model plane building and flying. He enlisted into the United States Air Force July of 1956 to 1960 serving as an Aircraft Mechanic at Whiteman Air Base in Missouri.

Survivors include his sons Jeffrey (Ronnie) of Silvis, Mark of East Moline, Douglas of Colona; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Violet; sister Catherine; brothers Jack, David, Alvin, Gary, and Albert Jr.; son Scott Thomas and a granddaughter Ashley Nicole.
