Thomas Strobbe

Thomas M. Strobbe, 62, of Geneseo passed away Jan. 8, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center East Campus in Davenport. A memorial service will be 7pm Tuesday with visitation from 3pm until service time at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the Transplant Program at University of Wisconsin. Thomas was born Sept. 12, 1953 in Moline, IL the son of Frank and Cynthia Forsyth Strobbe. He married Darlene Behrens Feb. 28, 1976 in East Moline. Thomas graduated from UTHS in 1971. He attended Meredith Manor School of Horsemanship in 1974 earning a degree as a Riding Instructor. He retired from the JMTC, Rock Island Arsenal in 2013. He enjoyed training, showing horses, hobby farming and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Darlene; children Shawn (Jen) Strobbe of Colona, Amanda (Kenny) McBride of Geneseo, Stephanie (Matt) Werner of Colona; 6 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and a sister Sue (Greg) Schatteman and several nieces and nephews. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
