Velma Keeton

Velma Keeton, 83, of Moline, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline. Per her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. She was born June 4, 1929, in Winfield, Ala., to William and Sibbie Downs Beasley. She married Almon Keeton in 1952. She was a housewife. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Maupin, Texas; grandchildren, Kasey, Mathew, Michael, Nathan and Jenifer; sisters, Edna Causey and Leona "Sis" Taylor, both of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
