Velma Richardson

Velma Richardson, 86, of Viola, died March 2, 2012, at Aledo Health Care Center.There will be no services. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements. Private burial will be at Lone Pine Cemetery, Round Springs, Mo.She was born March 17, 1925, in Monmouth, daughter of Clifford and Hazel Shuld Pople. She married Raymond Richardson, June 19, 1945, in Washington D.C.Velma was a secretary for the U.S. Navy during World War II. She enjoyed sewing.Survivors include her husband, Raymond; children, Deborah Richardson, William Richardson and Gary Richardson; grandchildren, David, Wendy and Lisa; great-grandchild, Caitlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Hudson; and a brother, John Pople
