Waneta Kaster

Waneta P. Kaster, 83, Of Colona passed away December 31, 2020 at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis.

Graveside services will be 2pm Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, IA. Schroder Mortuary in Silvis is assisting the family with arrangements.

Waneta was born April 30, 1937 in Cincinnati, IA the daughter of William Roy and Oral McIntire Ervin. She married Dale Kaster in 1952 in Centerville, IA. Waneta worked at Aramark Uniform Services in East Moline until 1997. She enjoyed word searches, scratch offs, and collecting elephants.

Survivors include her children Ricky (Angie) Kaster of Moline, Rose Marie Kaster of Davenport, and Tena (Arthur) Herod of Davenport; grandchildren Nathan, Melissa,
Ashley, Michelle, Ricky, Melinda, and Christopher; 10 great grandchildren and sister Effie Schmidt.

Waneta was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Tammy and 4 siblings.

The family would like to thank Casey with Genesis Hospice for the care given to Waneta
and good friend Martha Jensen.
