Weber E. Ziegler, 86, of Coal Valley, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at home. Services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Silvis United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Visitation is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. He was born April 11, 1927 in Luana, Iowa, the son of Weber and Louise Ziegler Weber married Veramae Hermanson on August 8, 1954, in Moline. They were happily married for 50 years He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952 Weber worked for IH for 31 years retiring in 1982. He and Veramae collected antiques and owned WV Antiques. His three priorities were his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved flower gardening, traveling and playing Euchere. He was a member of the Exchange Club.
