Wendy Grooms

Wendy Grooms, 69, of Silvis, passed away Aug. 4, 2018, at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation two hours prior to service time. Entombment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.

Wendy was born March 6, 1949, the daughter of Paul and Martha Hartwell Wells. She married Lesley Jett on May 23, 1971. He passed away Oct. 4, 2006. She later married Donald K. ‘DK’ Grooms on Oct. 12, 2012, in Silvis.

Wendy worked at the Rock Island Arsenal as a secretary and enjoyed flowers, gardening and dogs. She especially loved her family and overseeing the Women’s Ministry at the Cambridge Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, DK; children, Dondra Lueth, Donai (Eric) Marks, Mia McKenna and Dakota Grooms; grandchildren, Brittany Lueth, Charles Lueth, Chelsey (Steven) Dyer, Adam Lueth and Austin Scarff; great-grandchildren, Raelynn Dyer, Yoni Candela, Mariah Scarff; nephews, Paul, Chris, Eric and Patrick; niece, Lorean; and an aunt, Ruthie.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lesley Jett; sister, Patricia Holmes; and a brother, Paul Wells Jr.
