Willard Lloyd

Willard "Dean" Lloyd, 78, of Silvis passed away March 23, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline. Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Monday at the mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be at the Lloyd Reunion July 30, 2016 at the Novinger Community Center in Novinger, MO. Burial will be at Cox Cemetery in Missouri. Dean was born Feb. 25, 1938 in Kirksville, MO the son of Curtis and Dorthy Flannigan Lloyd. He served in the Army from 1961-1963 including a tour in Germany. He married Joy Puolos and was step father to her children for 3 years. Willard later married his wife of 40 years Phyllis Brackett in Silvis at her residence which they later made their home. He enjoyed working on cars and was a great collector of many things. Survivors include his wife Phyllis; children Robyn (Jason) Gehrke, Reba (John) Briere and Renee (Mike Callahan) Cranson; grandchildren Chelsea (Tyler) Schurr, Ryan and Tash Poremba and Braynt and Bryce Swanson; sister Sandra (Floyd) Followwill. Dean was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Joy.
