William E. King, 83, of Hampton passed away Monday June 20 at his home. Funeral services will be 10am Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7pm Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. William was born April 2, 1933 in Wiloughby, OH the son of James and Pansy Stroud King. He married Nancy Seefeldt Nov. 9, 1952 in Hampton, IL. William retired from American Air Filter in Moline after 33 years. Bill is remembered by his friends and family for his carefree nature, ever present smile, and endless supply of laughter. Bill was a gifted woodworker, furniture maker, and practical joker. The lighthearted spirit he instilled within each member of his family will forever be present. Survivors include his wife Nancy; children Richard (Sue) King and Cynthia Durbin; grandchildren Jamie (Jennifer) King, David (Heather Milsap) King Tracy (Patrick) Davis and Kathleen (Jerry) Bailey; great grandchildren Emilly, Bryce, Max and Mailli. William was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Michael Durbin; brother Wendell; sister Alice Mae; twin brother Willard and brother James Jr.
