William Leo Wallace, 82, of Geneseo, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Colona. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Schroder Mortuary, Colona. Burial is at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
He was born March 25, 1930, in Euclid, Minn., to Earl and Florence Allen Wallace. He served in the Army. He married Loris JoAnn Mossmen Dec. 17, 1949, in Greenup, Ky. She passed away June 29, 2005.
He was a retired maintenance worker at the old Plow Planter Works, John Deere.
He loved to travel and fish. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Bill (Mary Kay), Silvis, Gary (Pamela), Jackson, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Love, Minnesota; brothers, Sonny (Sheri) Wallace, Kenneth (Corky) Wallace and Jimmy (Mary) Wallace, all of Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
