Wilma E. Rendleman, 97, of Rock Island passed away Dec. 9, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in Moline.
Funeral services will be 6pm Friday at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials may be made to Disabled Veterans.
Wilma was born Nov. 19, 1918 in Jacksonville, IL the daughter of William and Ruby Leer Cannon. She married Ross Burlingame Sr. and later married Clifford Rendleman. He passed away Nov. 21, 1967. Wilma worked at Blues Brothers Engineering, Lutheran Hospital, for State Rep. Ben Polk and at Omni. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed traveling, crocheting, reading, gardening, sewing, playing bingo, cooking and baking. She especially loved watching all of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children John E. (Rebecca) Rendleman of Rock Island and Marta A. Burdick of Hartford, KS; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Jean Marie Rendleman; sons "Jim" Burlingame and Ross Burlingame Jr.; sister Martha Ledbetter and a great grandson Shane Michael Duncan.
