Wilma K. "Willie" Werner, 88, of Moline, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday - October 18 at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. A memorial service will be in Lafayette, Ind., at a later date.
Wilma was born April 1, 1924, in Otterbein, Ind., the daughter of Ottis and Julia Brummit Sosbe. She married Jack Werner in 1972 in Lafayette. He preceded her in death.
Wilma worked for 35 years in the meat department at A&P and Marsh Food Store, both in Lafayette. She loved fishing, mushroom hunting and eagle watching. She was an avid Cubs and Colts fan.
Survivors include her children, Jerry (Claire) Tyson, Lockeford, Calif., Romona (Jerry) Olvera, Carbon Cliff, and Larry (Chris) Tyson, Lafayette; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a special neighbor, Rita Mitchum; and her loving dog, Max.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband; a son, David; two sisters and two brothers.
